Another Chapter Closed

As I packed up my classroom on Friday I began to realize that I might not see many of these "music" things for a long time. WOW...what a hard thing to think about. I love teaching music...it has been a very large part of my life for over 15 years. I shed some tears and thanked the Lord for the ability to work with such amazing teachers and staff at MPES and also for the ability to teach such awesome students! My MPES kids will be in my heart forever(just like all the students I have ever taught)! I love them all...but now as I think to the next leg of my Journey and my next year of students I am blown away by the difference that is coming my way. Not only will I be teaching students who are Chinese, but I will be teaching them English...and now it looks like I will be teaching College students. So as I reflect on the goodness of the Lord I have been reminding myself that the Lord doesn't call the qualified...He qualifies the called. I feel so inadequate!!! I am afraid I might randomly burst into song while trying to explain concepts:-) I do have a song for everything:) The Lord has been giving me many scriptures to hold on to during this time and I am grateful for His unfailing mercy and faithfulness. I know that I can not teach these new students but I am looking forward to being a vessel He can use.

This week I will say goodbye to Isabella. The Journey I have been on this year with my 2 precious girls has been amazing. I can't believe it is about to come to a close. I will have some time with her once I get to China and I am soooooo excited about that. We have many intentions to travel, shop and catch up. But as much as I am looking forward to that, I know it won't ever be the three of us together like it has been this year. Change is not my favorite thing, but necessary in growth. As I say goodbye for now and begin to pack my American life away and transition in to the new life that God has called me to I am looking forward to the great things that He will have for me to learn. For this week we are focusing on VACATION and rest. Tomorrow we leave for Galveston, Kemah, and NASA:-) Many fun adventures to come and memories to make!
